Hardware One is an independent, family operated hardware store run by its affable manager Mike and his wife Kerry.  Mike has decades of hardware and timber experience in Australia so speaks hardware fluently. He grew up in America, where from a very young age helped in his fathers lumber and millwork business.  Service isn’t talked about at HardwareOne.  It’s the fabric of the business.  Service is lived there.

Customers frequently comment about Mike’s prodigious product knowledge, and his willingness to take the time to help and advise anyone needing assistance.  Amazingly, he seems to attract tourists and lost Sydney souls who need directions.  He loves nothing more than having a chat about travelling, and knows Sydney like the back of his hand.   Oh!  HardwareOne has the reputations as being the worlds tidiest hardware store.  It’s true!  Amazing what a tiny bit of OCD can do!

All the family are involved; even from a distance.  Son, Scott lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Kimberly and takes care of keeping the website and social media up to date.  Daughter, Karen lives with her husband Mike on Sydney’s north shore and is always there to lend a hand.   Kerry came on board a couple of years back to help in the business after retiring from nursing, using her nursing management experience to manage Hardwareone’s office, with the able assistance of Kersten; HardwareOne’s outstanding bookkeeper & friend who keeps things ticking along.

We also have Paul, who since “retiring” comes in to lend a hand from time to time, as well as Mark, a past employee who relieves occasionally over weekends.  So there, you have it.  HardwareOne’s crew.  The best ever!  Awesome what can be achieved by so few.
